beijing

In 2019 I had the opportunity to travel on a tour through China visiting multiple cities. The first stop was Beijing, the capital city of the people's Republic of China, previously known as Peking. It is the second largest capital city after Shanghai, and one of the oldest cities in the world.

Beijing is a city filled with culture, which is why it is the cultural center of China. Places like the Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square, The Great Wall of China, and The Summer Palace, where some of the places featured in this video, as well as food and traditions.

xi'an

After visiting Beijing, we took a plane to Xi'an to start a tour of the northern route of the silk road, an ancianted network of trade routes.Xi'an is on the four great ancient capital of China, with over 3,100 years of history.

Xi'an is home to the terracota warrios, an acient. city wall that still stands tall, the Wild Goose Pagoca situated in the Da Ci'en temple, and the Bell Tower and just some of the landmarks of this beautiful city.

ZHANG YE

Zhang Ye, formerly known as Ganzhou,  is a prefectuel-level city in the center of Gansu province bordering inner Mongolia, an important outpost in the silk road.

The city is located close to the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park,  a landscape filed with red cliffs and colourful ridges of weathered strata. This was formed due to the erosion of red sandstone, due to this formation the landform received protection from UNESCO Heritage Site in 2009. There people would sit under the sunset, climbing up the tall peaks of the cliffs, writing wished in planks of wood, and enjoying hot air balloon rides.
